- Cause of Mac Mail not Sending Stuck in Outbox The Outbox in Apple Mail appears only when an email you are trying to send is not able to be sent. This usually happens due to situations if you are working in offline mode or there is a connection problem. The Outbox will disappear once the mail is sent.
